Automatically Onboard an Entire Class to Flo Forward

Getting students onto Flo Forward just became much easier. Career Services teams can now introduce an entire incoming class to Flo Forward with a single CSV upload. As soon as students are added to your account, Flo automatically invites anyone who doesn’t already have an account to get started, which eliminates the need for separate outreach.

The challenge

The beginning of the academic year is one of the busiest times for Career Services. While adding an incoming class to your student directory was straightforward, encouraging students to create their Flo Forward accounts required a separate email campaign or manual follow-up.

What we launched

Now, uploading your student roster does more than populate your directory, it automatically starts the student onboarding process.

After a successful CSV upload, Flo automatically sends a personalized email invitation to every student who doesn’t already have an active Flo Forward account. Each email includes the student’s name, your law school’s branding, and a secure link to create or activate their account.

Flo handles the routing intelligently based on each student's account status:

  • New to Flo Forward: Receives an invitation to create an account.
  • Already active: No email is sent.
To make onboarding even easier, new account verification links remain active for 24 hours, giving students plenty of time to complete registration. If the link expires, students will be redirected to Flo Forward in order to receive a new verification email.

Why it matters

Career Services can now onboard an entire class to Flo Forward in a single step.

Instead of uploading students and then coordinating a separate onboarding campaign, the process now happens automatically. That means less administrative work, faster student adoption, and earlier access to the recruiting insights that help your office support students throughout the recruiting process.

Students benefit too. They receive a personalized invitation, making it easy to create their account and immediately begin exploring legal opportunities, registering for events, and organizing their recruiting activity.

This update is part of our ongoing effort to reduce administrative work for Career Services while helping students engage with Flo Forward earlier in their legal careers. As always, we’d love your feedback as we continue building the platform.
