Candidate Reviews Now Only Show Job-Specific Documents

Flo is proud to keep the updates coming, including this targeted improvement to how Candidate Reviews surface documents. Starting now, a job-type Candidate Review pulls only the materials a candidate submitted for that specific role.

The challenge

When a recruiting team created a Candidate Review tied to a specific job, the review previously pulled in each candidate's most recently uploaded documents, regardless of whether those documents were submitted for that role. For materials like cover letters, which are typically written for a specific opportunity, showing a document from a different application could give reviewers an inaccurate picture of the candidate's submission.

What we launched

Flo Applicant Tracking now filters the documents shown in a job-type Candidate Review to include only those submitted as part of that job's application. This applies both to the review interface in the product and to the exported PDF packet.

If a candidate did not upload a particular document type for that job, the review displays "No document uploaded" in that field rather than substituting a document from another application.

Why it matters

Recruiting teams and attorneys reviewing candidates in Flo can now trust that every document in a job-specific review belongs to that review. This is especially meaningful for cover letters and other tailored materials, where seeing the wrong document would directly affect how a candidate is evaluated. The same accuracy carries through to the exported PDF packet, which is often what gets shared with practice group leaders and hiring partners.
