Date Range Filtering Is Now Available in Reporting

Sometimes the smallest friction points are the ones that slow you down the most. Flo is the fastest shipping company in the legal talent industry, and this week we shipped a quality-of-life improvement to the Reporting tool that recruiting teams have been quietly working around for too long: true date range filtering, built into every date field.

The problem

Until now, if you wanted to report on activity within a specific date range, like offers extended between the first and last day of a given month, you had to stack two separate filters. One to set the start boundary, and one to set the end. It worked, technically, but it was clunky. You had to remember to set both, keep them in sync if you adjusted the window, and make sure the range was set up correctly.

We kept hearing that this added unnecessary steps to what should be a simple question: what happened between these two dates? That question comes up constantly in recruiting, and the answer shouldn’t require a workaround.

What we shipped

The Reporting tool now includes an “is between” filter option for every date field. You pick a start date and an end date, and Flo returns everything that falls within that window. One filter, one step, done.

This is live now in the Reporting tool. The same filter type is coming to the rest of the applicant tracking system in upcoming releases, so what you learn here will carry over everywhere else.

Why it matters

Reporting is most valuable when teams can trust that the data reflects the exact window they need. If pulling a date-scoped report requires multiple filters, it adds extra setup and more room for small mistakes, especially when the date range changes.

With “is between” available on every date field, you can scope a report to any window you need without extra configuration. That makes it easier to answer time-based questions clearly, whether you’re reviewing pipeline activity for a specific month, tracking time-to-offer across a search, or pulling data ahead of a debrief.

This is a small change that removes a real annoyance, and it’s the kind of thing that compounds over time. Keep telling us what’s slowing you down in Reporting and across the rest of the platform.
