# Clearer Document Packets for a Smoother Interview Day

One of the things career services teams tell us they appreciate most about working with Flo is how quickly ideas move from conversation to reality. This update to Document Packets is a good example: a focused set of improvements that makes interview-day information clearer for everyone involved, interviewers and students alike.
## **The challenge**
Document Packets are central to interview day, and what we heard from teams was a consistent set of questions that the PDF itself was not answering: which job is this packet for, where is this interview taking place, and is this the most current version of the packet? Those gaps meant extra back-and-forth on interview day, when everyone's attention is already stretched.
## **What we launched**
The student cover page now brings date, time, and location together on a single line, with interviewer name directly below. A new Job Information section adds employer name and job title to every cover page, across every entry point, including Document Collect jobs where interview details are intentionally hidden.
Interviewers now see a dedicated Interview Location column on their schedule, positioned right after Time and showing either "Virtual" or the room name. It matches what students see on their own schedule, so both sides of the interview are reading from the same information.
Every cover page now carries a creation timestamp, using the schedule timezone selected in the packet creation modal. For entry points without a schedule timezone option, it falls back to the requester's local timezone. The timestamp reflects when the export was requested, not when rendering finished, so it's a reliable reference point. Each page also displays its section name in the top right corner, whether that's "Table of Contents," "Interviewer's Schedule," or a student's name, so readers always know where they are in a long merged packet.
Finally, the tooltip on locked documents in the packet creation modal now states the exact date and time a document becomes available, pulled directly from the visibility rules set in event settings. Previously the tooltip showed generic copy. Now it reads something like: "This document will not be available to download until 05/21/2025 at 9:00 AM ET." This applies to Interview Management entry points, where document visibility restrictions are in effect.
## **Why it matters**
On a busy interview day, an interviewer working multiple firms and multiple students benefits from being able to confirm at a glance which packet belongs to which conversation. The Job Information section and interview location column make that possible without any digging. Two copies of the same packet sitting in an inbox are now easy to tell apart by their timestamps.
For career services administrators, the locked-document tooltip removes a small but recurring source of confusion during event setup and document management. Instead of checking event settings to find out when a reference letter becomes available, the information surfaces exactly where it's needed.
These improvements reflect what career services teams told us they needed to run interview day with less friction and more confidence. If there are other points in the Document Packets workflow where clarity is still missing, we want to hear about it.
