# Flo Forward Users Now Stay Signed In for 7 Days

Sometimes the highest-impact changes are the simplest ones to describe. Extending a session timeout from one day to seven days is not glamorous engineering, but it was one of the top things you kept telling us was getting in the way. Flo is the fastest shipping company in the legal talent industry, and that means requests like this one do not sit on a backlog for months. We heard it, we built it, it is done.
## **The problem**
Flo Forward uses a magic link authentication flow, which is secure and straightforward. The friction, though, was real: sessions expired after 24 hours, which meant law students and career services teams were being asked to re-authenticate every single day. For anyone checking in on applications, reviewing materials, or managing recruiting activity across a busy week, that is a constant interruption that adds up fast.
This was the top feature request we heard from career services teams and law students alike. It came up repeatedly, and it was the right call to prioritize it.
## **What we shipped**
Session length in Flo Forward has been extended from 24 hours to 7 days. Once a law student or career services team member authenticates via magic link, they stay signed in for a full week before needing to go through the flow again.
No configuration required. No settings to toggle. It is on for everyone.
## **Why it matters**
For law students actively working through a recruiting season, logging in every morning was a small but persistent tax on their time and attention. For career services teams managing high volumes of student activity, it was one more thing to troubleshoot when students could not get back in quickly.
A 7-day session means people can just open Flo Forward and get to work. That is how it should feel.
