# International Phone Numbers Are Now Supported Across Flo

One thing Flo takes pride in is how quickly client feedback makes its way into the product. International phone number support is a good example. It was one of the most consistent requests we heard from firms with global recruiting needs, and it is now live anywhere phone numbers appear in Flo.
## **The challenge**
We heard from clients, especially UK-based firms and teams recruiting internationally, that Flo's phone number fields did not work well with non-US formats. Candidates and attorneys outside the United States could not always enter their numbers correctly, and international numbers included in uploads did not always save as expected.
For firms recruiting across multiple countries, that created an unnecessary gap in the process.
## **What we launched**
Flo now supports international phone numbers throughout the platform.
Every phone number field now includes a country picker. It defaults to the country detected from the user's device, but can be changed manually at any time. Once a country is selected, Flo automatically formats the number based on that country's standard, regardless of how it was entered.
This applies across Flo, including:
- Event kiosks and registration
- Applicant Tracking
- Flo Forward
- Candidate profiles
- Agency forms
- And more
Spreadsheet uploads for events now support UK and other international phone numbers as well.
We also made phone numbers optional in kiosk mode, so attorneys and candidates checking in can skip the field if they do not have a number to provide.
## **Why it matters**
For firms recruiting internationally, this removes a small but persistent point of friction. Candidates and attorneys can enter their numbers in the format they are used to, and that information is stored correctly in Flo without extra cleanup.
One thing to note: SMS notifications are not yet available for international numbers. Candidates with non-US numbers will receive follow-up communication by email instead. International SMS support is something we are continuing to explore.
