Student Document Packets: Interview Materials, Ready to Share in Just a Few Clicks
One of the things Flo is known for is how quickly it turns client feedback into real product improvements. Student Document Packets have been among the most requested capabilities every OCI season, and they are live now across Flo Interview Management and the Student & Alumni Directory.
The challenge
Every interview program comes with a lot of moving pieces, and career services teams need a simple way to get the right student information into interviewers’ hands.
We consistently heard from CSOs that they wanted more flexibility in how they packaged and shared student documents for employers and interviewers. Depending on the program, that could mean combining student documents with interview schedules, organizing materials in interview order, creating separate packets for individual interviewers, or preparing a polished packet that was ready to share.
Those conversations shaped Student Document Packets, giving teams a faster, more flexible way to turn the information already in Flo into organized, share-ready materials.
What we launched
Career services teams, employers, and interviewers can now create and share structured student document packets directly in Flo. The workflow is straightforward: select students from any supported table, open the Actions menu, choose Document Packet, customize the packet, add recipients, and export.
When building a packet, you can:
- Add a title and optional subtitle
- Include a cover page and a clickable table of contents
- Choose which document types to include and reorder them
- Control student sort order by schedule, last name, or randomized order
- Include interviewer or student schedules where applicable
- Share with multiple recipients via a secure, emailed download link

Every packet follows a consistent structure: cover page, table of contents, schedule (when applicable), a per-student cover page, and the student's documents. The modal and the PDF both adapt based on where you launch packet creation from, so the options you see are always relevant to your workflow.
The feature is available from multiple entry points in Flo Interview Management, including matched schedules, unmatched bids, the interviewer table, the student bids table, and employer application review. It is also available from the Student & Alumni Directory for document-only packets not tied to a recruiting schedule.
For Interview Management workflows, when multiple interviewers are selected, Flo generates a separate packet for each one. A single interviewer receives a single PDF; selecting multiple interviewers produces a ZIP file with one packet per interviewer.
Once generated, Flo emails each recipient a link to view or download the packet. The link expires after seven days, which keeps large document sets out of email attachments while still making them easy to distribute.
This is a new export option that sits alongside the existing bulk student document export. The existing workflow is not changing.
Note: packets are currently limited to 100 students at a time. That limit will be lifted in early September once some additional infrastructure work is in place.
Why it matters
The time savings are real and immediate. What used to require manual assembly across multiple tools and profiles now takes a few clicks inside Flo. Career services teams no longer have to coordinate document collection and schedule formatting as separate tasks before an OCI season. Employers and interviewers receive a consistent, professional packet that is organized the way they expect.
For career services teams, this also means more visibility and control over what goes out. Document visibility rules are honored throughout the workflow, and the packet adapts to the data that is actually available, so teams are not working around the tool to get the right output.
This one took a lot of work across a lot of edge cases, and it came directly from what you told us was missing. If you have thoughts on how packets could work even better for your team's workflow, we want to hear them. Keep the feedback coming.
