Follow firms and save jobs or events in Flo Forward
Flo moves fast, and this latest release brings together several enhancements that students and Career Services teams have been asking for since the early days of Flo Forward. From following firms and saving opportunities to finding newly posted jobs faster, these updates make it easier to keep track of the firms and opportunities that matter most.
The challenge
Students are exploring firms and opportunities throughout the recruiting process, often well before they’re ready to apply. They need an easy way to keep track of the firms they’re interested in, return to jobs and events that catch their attention, and know when something new becomes available.
Previously, students could explore firm profiles, jobs, and events in Flo Forward, but there wasn’t a way to mark firms they wanted to keep up with or save individual opportunities to revisit later.
Career Services teams have a different need. When they find firms, jobs, or events that may be relevant to their students, they need an easy way to keep track of them so they can quickly revisit and share those opportunities when the time is right.

What we launched
Students can now follow firms directly from their Flo Forward profiles. When a firm they follow posts a new eligible job or event to Flo Forward, the student automatically receives an email notification. It’s an easy way for students to keep up with firms they’re interested in without having to continually check for something new.
Students can also save individual jobs and events they want to revisit later. This has been one of the most consistently requested features since Flo Forward launched, and gives students a simple way to keep interesting opportunities organized as they explore.
Career Services teams can also follow firms and save jobs and events, making it easy to keep track of opportunities they may want to share with students. Unlike students, staff won’t receive email notifications from followed firms; instead, they can quickly find followed firms and saved opportunities using filters on each board.
We’ve also made it easier to explore opportunities on the Job Board. Listings now display the date each job was posted, and students and Career Services teams can sort by posting date to quickly find the newest opportunities.
Firm profiles now include salary range information for summer positions, giving students additional information as they evaluate opportunities.
And for schools supporting students and alumni pursuing judicial clerkships, clerk profiles now appear in the employer directory as a single consolidated profile, providing Career Services teams with a cleaner, more cohesive view.
Why it matters
Students don’t discover and pursue every opportunity at the same moment. They may become interested in a firm months before the right job or event becomes available, or find an opportunity they want to revisit when they have more time.
Following and saving give students more control over that process. They can keep track of what interests them, return to opportunities later, and receive an email when a firm they follow posts a new eligible job or event—without having to repeatedly search Flo Forward for updates.
For Career Services teams, having access to the same tools makes advising more practical. Staff can experience the workflows themselves, identify firms and opportunities they may want to share with students, and provide more informed guidance on how students can use Flo Forward throughout recruiting.
The additional Job Board and firm profile enhancements make it easier to evaluate opportunities, too. Posted dates help students identify what’s new and prioritize their search, while salary information provides another useful piece of context as they consider summer positions.
Together, these updates make Flo Forward easier to navigate and more personalized to the way students actually approach recruiting.
As your students and staff start using these features, let us know what’s working and what you’d like to see us build next.
