Introducing Firm Following on Flo Forward

Legal talent on Flo Forward can now "Follow" your Firm Profile to receive email notifications when you post an event or job for which they're eligible!

For firms, Following adds a new layer to Pipeline Building: candidates can signal their interest in your firm and stay connected over time, while Flo helps you nurture that interest automatically when relevant opportunities come up.

The challenge

Recruiters know that candidates who do their research, engage with firm materials, and show real, informed interest are often their strongest prospects. Flo data backs this up: candidates who repeatedly view a firm’s profile are 2x more likely to receive an offer.

Until now, though, that interest could be difficult to capture. A candidate might visit your Flo Forward Firm Profile multiple times, research your offices and practices, or keep an eye on your opportunities, but there was no way for them to create an ongoing connection with your firm.

That also meant recruiting teams had limited ways to nurture that early interest. Unless you already had a candidate’s contact information, there was no direct way to bring them back when a relevant job opened or an event was posted.

What we launched

Candidates can now follow your firm directly from Flo Forward. The Follow button appears on your firm card in the Browse Firms directory and at the top of your Firm Profile.

Once a candidate follows your firm, that connection stays with them. When your firm posts a job or event, Flo identifies which Followers are eligible based on factors like graduation year and campus targeting and automatically sends them an email notification.

There is no additional list for your recruiting team to manage and no separate outreach campaign to create. Candidates choose to follow your firm, and Flo helps keep those interested prospects connected to relevant opportunities.

Following also extends beyond law school. More than 20,000 Flo Forward users have already graduated and are now practicing attorneys, and Followers remain connected to firms after graduation. A student who shows interest in your firm today can remain part of your potential pipeline as their career progresses.

Why it matters

Following turns the interest your firm is already generating on Flo Forward into something more actionable.

For entry-level recruiting teams, it means your investment in your Firm Profile can continue working after a candidate leaves the page. A student who discovers your firm early can follow it and hear from Flo when an opportunity becomes relevant to them, even if your team does not have their email address yet.

For lateral recruiting teams, that connection can grow over time. Candidates who first followed your firm as students remain Followers as they become practicing attorneys, creating a potential bridge between your entry-level and lateral pipelines.

And for talent leaders, Following creates a clearer connection between candidate engagement and Pipeline Building. Follower counts and engagement data for firms are coming later this year, giving recruiting teams more visibility into who they are reaching and where interest in their firm is forming.
