Flo moves fast, and this update is a good example of what that looks like in practice: a targeted, thoughtful improvement to one of the more intricate parts of the filtering experience, already live in the product.
Some filters in Flo require more than one selection to do their job. Filtering by job application status, for instance, means first choosing a job, then choosing a status. The same goes for filtering by candidate event status. These multi-step filters need careful handling so the sequence stays clear and the selections stay connected. The previous approach worked, but there was room to make the experience more intuitive for recruiting teams moving quickly through large candidate lists.
The team reworked how these multi-step filters present themselves on the job details page. When a filter requires a specific context before a second selection makes sense (for example, a job name before a status), the interface now guides you through that sequence in a cleaner, more deliberate way.

This change is live on the job details page now. Expanding it to the candidate list page is already on the roadmap as part of a separate project.
Recruiting teams spend a lot of time inside filters, slicing candidate lists by role, status, and stage. When a filter requires two inputs, the relationship between those inputs needs to be obvious at a glance. This update makes that relationship explicit, so there is less chance of a mismatched selection and less time spent second-guessing what a filter is actually doing.
It is a focused change, but it reflects how Flo thinks about the product: the details of day-to-day workflows matter, and getting them right makes the whole platform feel more reliable.
